Your documents stay on your device.
Red Mercury PDF is provided by Red Mercury Solutions. PDF files are processed locally and are not uploaded to us. The app does not require a Red Mercury account. Google AdMob processes certain technical and device data for advertising, ad-related analytics, and fraud prevention. The current app does not include in-app purchases, Firebase Analytics, or Firebase Crashlytics.
1. Documents and local data
The app accesses files you select or permit it to access so it can provide its PDF functionality. Document content is processed on your device. We do not upload your PDF files to our servers or to Google for processing.
Files and app data stored on your device remain there until you remove them. You control files saved outside the app through your device’s file manager. Device backups or cloud folders you independently choose are governed by your device or storage provider.
2. Google AdMob and data it processes
The app displays banner advertisements using Google AdMob. Google’s Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares the following information with Google and, as applicable, advertising partners:
- Approximate location: The device’s IP address, which may be used to estimate general location. The app does not request precise device location for advertising.
- App interactions: App launches, taps, ad interactions, and video views where applicable.
- Diagnostics: Technical performance information about the app and advertising SDK, such as app launch time, hang rate, and energy usage.
- Device or other identifiers: The Android advertising ID, app set ID, and other device or account-related identifiers where available.
These data are used for advertising and ad measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention. They do not include the content of your PDF documents. The exact processing depends on your device settings, consent choices, and the ads served.
The app uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to check advertising consent requirements and present privacy messages where required. Advertising requests are made only when UMP indicates that they are permitted. You can continue using the PDF tools if ads or a consent message cannot be loaded.
See Google’s Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure, how Google uses information from apps that use its services, and Google’s Privacy Policy.
3. How information is used and shared
PDF functionality is provided locally on your device. AdMob collects and shares the advertising and technical data described above to display and measure advertisements, analyze advertising and SDK performance, and detect fraud or abuse. Advertising data may be processed by Google and its advertising partners on servers outside your country under their applicable privacy policies and protections.
If you contact us, we receive your email address and the information you include, and use it to respond to your request. Do not send PDF documents or sensitive information unless needed for your inquiry.
4. Data retention and deletion
Local data: You can remove app data through Android’s app storage settings or uninstall the app. Exported PDFs and files saved in shared storage may remain after uninstalling; delete those separately using your file manager. We do not hold uploaded copies of your documents.
Advertising and technical data: Google and its advertising partners retain data according to their applicable policies. This data is not limited to temporary processing in memory for a single request. Clearing local app data or uninstalling the app does not automatically delete data already processed by these providers.
Support correspondence: We keep correspondence for as long as necessary to resolve your inquiry and meet applicable legal obligations.
Contact dev@redmercurysolutions.com with privacy questions or requests concerning information we can identify and control, such as support correspondence. We do not operate an in-app deletion request tool for Google’s advertising records and cannot promise to identify or delete those records on your behalf. Google’s privacy information explains its data controls and request procedures. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, object to or restrict processing, or complain to a data protection authority.
5. Your privacy choices
Where required, the app presents an advertising consent message using Google UMP. You can accept, decline, or manage the available consent options. When required by Google’s privacy message configuration, an Ad privacy options button appears at the bottom of the app so you can review or change your choices.
Declining personalized advertising does not necessarily disable all advertisements or all technical data collection. Non-personalized or limited ads may still involve processing for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention, subject to your choices and applicable requirements.
You can manage or delete the Android advertising ID through your device’s advertising privacy settings, where available. You can also review Google’s ad settings. Removing the advertising ID does not necessarily stop collection of other identifiers or technical data.
You control the PDF files you select and export. Device file permissions and any cloud storage or backups you choose are managed through Android and the relevant storage provider.
6. Security
PDF content is processed locally. Local file security depends on your device and the access you grant to apps. Google states that all user data collected by its Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS). No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
7. Children’s privacy
If you believe a child’s personal information has been processed improperly through the app, contact us so we can investigate and address the request with the relevant service provider.
8. Policy updates
We update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Any additional disclosures or consent required for a change will be provided through the app where applicable.
